Don't waste your time with THESE movies

Mr. Beans
Starring: Rowan Atkinson, Emma de Caines and Willem Date
This movie is a comedy about named Mr. Beans who wins a trip to Cannes. There he unintentionally separates a young boy from his father. He looks for ways on getting them together and the journey; he discovers a lot of thing in life and love.
I did not have the patience for this movie. Most of the movie is viewed from Mr. Beans’s video camera creating a “Road Movie”. I thought it was bad quality and strongly disliked the Chaplin-esque feeling of the movie.  The "comedy" of the movie is his clumsiness and his faces but in my opinion it wasn’t enough for it to be considered a comedy it just looked like a movie trying VERY hard to be funny.

Couples Retreat
Starring: Vince Vaughn, Malin Akerman and Jon Favreau
This movie is a comedy about four comedy couples who go on a journey to a tropical island resort. One of the couples is there to work on their marriage and the other three are there to have fun in the sun. When they get there, they discover that therapy isn’t optional. Throughout the therapy sessions, each couple learned a lot of their relationship.
This movie had a negative impact on me because I felt like it was not edited fully. The selection of the scenes was badly organized and irrelevant. It was hard to follow and lacking logic. This is one of the few movie I can actually say that I fell asleep.

Nacho Libre
Starring: Jack Black, Ana de la Reguera and Hector Jimenez
This movie is about a guy named Nacho who was a cook by day in a Mexican Orphanage and a masked wrestler by night in order to raise money to save the orphanage from closure.
This is the longest and most redundant movie I've seen. It seemed like there was barely a plot and was very slow paced. I thought some of the jokes were offensive and it just a waste of time to watch because they’re direction towards the movie did not make sense.

Movies you HAVE to see!

Inception
Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon, Levitt and Ellen Page
This movie is about a thief that steals secrets and thoughts during the dream state. His most difficult job could give his life back. His task is to plant the idea onto three layers of dreams within dreams.

It is is a very mind-boggling movie. It challenges the viewer to be attentive and understand everything that’s happening. The effects are incredible and the plot of the movie is very unique. You get transfixed in everything that happens that you actually want to be able to do everything they do.

The Notebook
Starring: Gena Rowlands, James Garner and Rachel McAdams

It’s a movie of two young lovers named Allie Hampton and Noah Calhoun. Allie’s parents disapprove of Noah because of his unwealthy family and separate them by forcing Allie to go to college. Noah wrote 365 letters but her mom never gave them to her. They drifted apart and she got engaged to a soldier. When seeing Noah’s picture in the paper she feels drawn to  go back.
This movie made a positive impact on because because it shows how true their love was. Their love overcame so many obstacles and it was as if the flame never ended. It’s a very realist and compelling story of young love.

Transformers
Starring Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox and Josh Duhamel
This movie was about a young teenager Sam Witwickey who buys his first car. What he did not expect, was it to be the Autobot named Bumblebee. He defends Sam and his girlfriend Mikaela from a Decepticon who’s searching for the Allspark. Decepticons run loose disguising themselves as technology attacking the United States military base. The have to stop them before they ruin the planet.

This movie has an epic story line and the effects in the movie were unique. The plot is unexpected and you feel drawn to keep watching. When the cars transform you get a sense of awe and shock because you wish every car was actually like that. It is a mix of action and comedy. I think it was faithful to the comic book and just a great movie to watch for any ocassion.

Sherlock Holmes

Starring: Robert Downey Jr, Jude law and Rachel McAdams
This movie is about a detective and his partner who caught one of the best followers of black magic and serial killer Lord Blackwood. He was later sentenced to be hung but returns mysteriously from the afterlife. Holmes and Watson must stop Blackwood from taking over the British Government and enforcing black magic all over the world.

This movie is something you'll want to see! Throughout the movie I felt perplexed at not knowing how Lord Blackwood did his schemes and got away with everything. You see him getting hanged and buried at the beginning of the movie so you don’t expect him to escape. The reasoning behind everything is very impressive and the strategy that Sherlock uses is something amazing.

Avatar
Starring:  Sam Worthington Zoe Saldana and Sigourney Weaver
Jake is a veteran who lost his legs on war. He is brought to a new discoverd planet called Pandora. There he will become one of the inhabitants called avatars. He will develop avatars. He will develop a love for these creatures and understand their concerns and their culture. Jake must help them from the humans that were destroying the planet.
This movie made an impact on me because the meaning behind the scenes seemed to be given a message to all of the people in the world. The scenes are something very original and the plot was very interesting. It has action, romance and thriller and I asure you that you have never seen graphics like these.
